About CIC
The Casting Innovation Centre (CIC) in Jönköping is aiming to take the global lead to form a world casting research hub. This developed research environment will be very attractive for researchers to visit and come to and stay for longer or shorter periods as they will find themselves in and contribute to multidisciplinary research projects having direct access to the world leading manufacturing companies.
The attraction with the Jönköping casting centre lies in the fact that researchers with different disciplinary background jointly can look at innovation and problem solving in the process, but focusing on materials and the casting area. This together with the possibility to join the leading companies will be very attractive. The total group of researchers in this framework will create new knowledge to implement in the industry, supervise undergraduate and master students, which together will increase the general competence with all partners.
Vision
"A world Class Research, Development and Education Centre for the Swedish manufacturing industry within cast material, processes and components"
